Urban Tours
Learn about poverty in our community. Or learn about the needs and issues of many areas of our community — rich, poor, and middle ground. Fresno Metro Ministry arranges these urban tours for congregations and other groups. We meet with and talk with people who live and work where we visit. Except for tours that Metro schedules, the group wanting to have a tour for its own members will need to provide the van or bus. Some tours are speciality tours, like hunger, poverty, or land-use tours.

Annual December Anniversary Honoree Dinner and Program
This new tradition began for Metro's 30th Anniversary held in December of 2000. For 2005, the date is Thursday, December 1. The location is Hope Lutheran Church at Barstow and Fresno Street in Fresno. This event honors three to four persons who personify Metro's values. The event is also a major fundraiser, as well as a time of celebration and renewing friendships with others who want to create a better community for everyone.
